So what I'll do now, is I'll start off slowly and speed up a little bit. Just playing our
Jazz Ride pattern. One and-a, two and-a, three and-a with the Hi Hat, foot on two and four.
This is the staple of Jazz. There's a lot of speed that can be had from this. At the
beginning, there's really no reason to play to fast. The big thing is keeping it swinging.
You don't want it turn into something straighter. That's not what we're looking for. We're looking
for that swung.
Something that you should know is that, the faster you play. It's going to start to straighten
out a little bit. Not at the tempos that we should be playing out, right now. So here
it is a little, little faster. The next step, is we're going to start adding in the Snare
and the Bass drum, as well.
