It's Joylyn Everett with my lovely assistant Bridget for Expert Village in beautiful Malibu,
California. Now I'm going to talk about Goth-Punk. As you know, Goth-punk is pretty much wearing
black. Black makeup, black clothes, usually black hair. Goth-punks usually wear thick
black eyeliner and black, purple or dark red lipstick with very white foundation or face
powder, almost like vampires. A few examples of Goth clothing are this skirt with the lacing
up the back, this fishnet and lace-up, kind of glamorous Goth-punk. Black leather skirt,
the black, bondage-style "chaos" dress, and the black boots with zippers so you can make
them taller or shorter. They have Velcro-apart tongues to make the adjustment. In the Goth
community there are several variations, as you've seen, but the general style and color
is black. And we have our skull accessories. Got to have the skull accessories: the belt,
the scarf, which can be worn as a bracelet, or around the neck, in the hair. Some girls
wear lace skirts and band tee-shirts, some wear long black dresses, some wear the short
pleated skirt you saw with fishnet tights or velvet and lace shirts with big sleeves
with black pants or a black skirt. Even some of the guys wear black skirts. Goth is a more
dark, morbid side of punk.
