Hey guys and girls, followers of SpecWarp.com, we've prepared one tip for you about using a knife...
Although most people that wear a knife think its a good option for self defense.
They are wrong about it because the knife itself has almost no stop effect on the target unless you hit liver or heart or any other vital organ
You will have really a hard time stoping the attacker, with short blade it's even harder and if you dont know how to properly manipulate with a knife..
In short, better tool for self defense will be expendable baton or other abilities, the knife has small application in this situation
Although if you still want to use it as defense tool you have to know how to properly wear it and how to use it
Next big mistake is that people think when someone is trying to stab you that they'll try to stab you once, but studies have shown
that when someone is trying to kill you in affected incident the attacker won't stop until you are down on the ground and till you bleed out
Most of the corpses found had for instance 24 stab wounds and examinations have shown that the victim were still able to defend itself
That means you have to learn techniques against a knife attack because you can get stabbed multiple times to non-vital organs or muscles and you have chance to live
In other instances it's fatal
Now let's talk about the wearing posibilities and their pros and cons
First vital point is good quality sheath, if you dont have one there's no point in buying expensive knife
In case you are wearing a knife, second point is good quality belt, like this from Blackhawk, it's durable and sturdy. It doesn't hinder when you draw
Next thing is the proper position of your sheath, one option as long as you have good quality sheath is having it directed to your groin area facing inward,
Because if the sheath was directed vertically it'd cause pain in thighs in some motions
If you wear bad quality sheath and have it horizontally you can hurt yourself accidentally, if the sheath is good you can have a problem that the sheath hinders in some cases
Next option is wearing the knife at the back side, the problem with that is when you fall you can hurt yourself
I prefer wearing a knife on the hips, right behind the hip joint so i won't hurt myself, it doesn't hinder in any motion and it doesn't hurt the kidneys.
And and forget kids... workin' with a knife isn't the kinda thing like workin' with compass.
