hello fellow watchers of Youtube, in this episode of JBAcademy we will be
showing you how to make the strawberry banana smoothie
uh... yes the smoothie this sweet little fruit concoction dates way back to the
twentieth century when the term smoothie was merely just a mixture of mostly
fruit and ice
In many cultures such as latin america and india for example, the blending of ice
and fruit has long been a practice for the purposes... I'm not so quite clear of...
but the recent popularity for these delicious treats arose during the national
food periods of the sixties and the seventies
when health food stores started popping up around the country making and selling
these blended drinks.
Just about anything can be made into a smoothie.
Some smoothie makers add vegetables such as: spinach,
carrots, seaweed,
and even hot peppers!?
to make their smoothies extra healthy.
Alright so for a strawberry banana smoothie you're simply going to need: a blender of course
a banana
frozen or fresh strawberries, crushed ice, and this was optional: yogurt.
Then you should be good to go
first thing to do is to prepare the ingredients so cut the banana into slices
however big you want them to be and put them into the blender.
Next, we do the strawberries. Cut them anyway you'd like.
Just make sure to take off the leafy parts of the strawberries unless you don't want to and that's your fruit
then the yogurt goes in next again you could put as much as you like
remember: the more yogurt that goes in,
the creamier the smoothie will be and that's up to you're liking.
and finally, the ice goes on top of everything. And
opposite to the yogurt
the more ice you put in the chunkier or slushier your it'll be so again it's up
to your liking
if you're like me I like a good blance of thick and creamy so even amounts of
both are good enough
Blend one to two minutes or until all the ingredients are blended to perfection.
Take the mixture out of the blender and your cup or cups if you are serving
to others as well. Take a sip and enjoy!
So how did you like it? It's good.
What does the jet-lagged German say? Wow,
good!
