Hello World. This is L.
Over the past weeks I have continuously been made aware by numerous groups of people that
the 21st September is what is called the World Gratitude day. Whether it was due to the attentive
people on my contact page or through various companies exploiting a theme to ensure a good
communtiy feeling in their users.
Descriptive pages offer the following lines: "It doesn't need to be for anything specific
- you can simply be grateful. Or use it as an opportunity to say some specific thanks.
Thank you for holding the door open for me. Thanks for cooking me a delicious meal. Even
say thanks for saying thanks!
There is such power in those two words - they are the utmost sign of grace and acknowledgement
to another person! "
I am not entirely sure of the relevance of this but let me say this:
The power of those two words is not intrinsic. The reason they are that powerful is because
they are usually intended to only be used for grand things. If you spout phrases like
thank you and I love you at people for arbitrarily little things, and everybody did it, the words
would lose their power because it would not mean anything. I am not opposing people thanking
each other for real things. That is all I will say about World gratitude day.
No, one more thing: There are some things to be grateful for but many more which need
improvement.Make something that is bad in your life good on World Gratitude day, instead
of thanking a person for thanking you.
The revolution is now. The internet empowers you. This is L.
