Ok, just similar to filling the empty space there is a balance act that we can use to
form good looking Chinese characters. And for lack of a good word, I'm calling it echo.
Actually, it's a balance act. So let's see, we have this character here, lan. So many
strokes, Ok. To write it good, the strokes should kind of echo each other or respond
to each other in its angle, its direction, its length or depth. So let's see, lan, that
one. So we have this space for two more strokes, one dot and then one tio, one tick, and to
make room for each other we decide how long it would be. That should be Ok. And just go
down this way and just come up that way. That's an echo or a balance. Actually so are these
divisions. We go that way and then we have one here to echo it and also the interesting
four dots. You can either write in the first dot in this direction, then the last one is
an echo, you go that direction. And there's another way to write it. So you can also go
to start with that direction first. And then two more dots and then to echo the first dot
we need to go this way. So that makes a good looking character.
