[Female voice] Here’s the vegetables. Lettuce, I don’t know what these are called, eggplant?
[Mail voice] You can’t go wrong with carrots, I like peppers and I like lettuce so…
You’ve got breakfast, lunch and dinner, everything has vegetables. You’ve got omelets
in the morning. You also have breakfast burritos, you can put some veggies in. For lunch you
have salads, some sandwiches you can put a lot of veggies in, you could also make a little
stir fry for lunch and dinner. For dinner a lot of times I just steam vegetables to
put alongside some of the meals I eat. It really does affect the way you play the next
day in competition. You can feel it when you wake up. If you didn’t eat well, you know
it.
[Next male voice] Carrots have really always been my favorite vegetable. I don’t know
why. I guess my parents liked carrots as well so I had it more when I was younger. Celery
I’ve just recently started to like, and I like to dip it in ranch. I don’t know,
I guess it’s just a lifestyle choice. I know when I don’t eat vegetables I’m a
little more tired and just kind of sluggish throughout the day. I don’t know if you
live longer or whatever, but you just feel better throughout the day.
[Female voice] I really just like salads, throwing everything in. Soups are really good.
My parents have a vegetable garden so a lot of times they’ll bring in a ton of vegetables
from our garden and I’ll make a big tomato-based soup with a bunch of whatever they have, throw
it in, chard.
[Next female voice] My mom had a huge garden, so we always had fresh vegetables. I always
had tomatoes and carrots, cause you can always just pick them easily.
[Next female voice] Carrots and artichokes and asparagus, so a pretty wide variety. I
do lots of salads, so like spinach and then I’ll put tons of random whatever I have
around the kitchen in it, so corn and tomatoes and cucumbers and sunflower seeds. Just kind
of random salads.
[Male voice] I think you have to have a healthy diet. That’s the most important thing, that
and sleep, for me especially. I can tell the difference if I don’t eat very well for
a couple days. I feel like I have more energy when I eat more vegetables and fruit.
