An important piece of managing your time well is having a three system schedule.
First, you want to have a monthly schedule
where you can see all of your due dates at one time.
You could write them in a list format, put them on a white board
or any other creative alternative to view your due dates in one glance.
There is no wrong way to accomplish this, so find the strategy that works for you.
There are sample templates available on the Student Success Office website under Resources.
Secondly, you want to have some form of a weekly schedule
that helps you plan when to get things done.
This schedule is the routine you will set for the whole term.
It can be as rigid or flexible as you need it to be.
Again there is no right or wrong way to do this.
Make sure to add some extra time each week for the items on your weekly schedule
that didn't get completed.
On the Student Success Office website, check out the weekly templates
along with the creating a master schedule handout.
Thirdly, have your daily task items written into a to-do list.
There are a variety of ways to keep track of these tasks.
You should keep this to do list handy
so you can easily make reference to it throughout your day.
