Hi! This is John on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip, I will be showing you
step 3 in installing a ball valve. For this step, I will be marking and cutting my ball
valve. On our ball valve, our pipe will stick inside of the valve on each end a little ways.
So we need to make sure that when we mark it, to mark it from where our pipe will sit
on the inside. So as you can see my pipe will come part way into my ball valve on both sides.
Now I went ahead and put towels underneath where I will be cutting my pipe at. With these
pipe cutters, you want to go ahead and slip them over your pipe and tighten them up to
where the blade will meet your line, and I am going to go ahead and first of all double
check to make sure that your water is turned off. Tighten it, rotate it around, tighten
it, rotate it around, and continue this until the pipe has been cut.
