Hi Im steve form LCI Paper and today I’m holding our newest designer place card. I
designed this place card for a few reasons. Primarily because I frequently find myself
asking how one would effectively print on these dark textured place cards, by adding
a lightly colored sheet of vellum on top, you can still see a little bit of the finish,
however it makes it much more readable and easier to print. And most of all you don’t
need to deal with any sticky adhesives. Now you may be asking yourself how to make the
cuts perfect so the top layer fits just right, or how we were able to print on such small
cards. In the tutorial I provide you with templates fort cutting as well as a template
fort printing ten of these top sheets on a standard 8 ½ x 11 sheet of paper. After printing
the vellum layers you will cut them down using your preferred cutting utensil. After cutting
out each top layer, you will insert the corners into the slits you previously cut into the
place cards. Fold them and ta-da, your place cards are complete.
