Love crochet?
Then you'll love these crochet hearts.
We'll show you how to make them ready for Valentine's Day.
The pattern is included in the comments' section so watch our video and get started.
First, I'm going to make a magic circle.
This helps the heart close up in the centre so it's nice and neat.
The work 10 double (UK treble) crochet into that ring.
OK, you've got 10 doubles (UK trebles) and then you need to pull that circle tight.
Secure the round with a slip stitch.
So there's your circle.
Now we're going to start doing the double crochet (UK treble) around to create the shape
of the heart.
We're going to do 5 double crochet (UK treble) into the first stitch.
Now 1 double (UK treble) crochet into the next 3 stitches.
We need to work into the point at the bottom, a double crochet (UK treble) at the bottom
and a treble (UK double-treble) into the same stitch.
Then a double (UK treble) into the same stitch.
So now you can see you've got half a heart there.
Now one double (UK treble) crochet into the next 3 stitches.
Then 5 doubles (UK trebles) into the last stitch.
To finish this round you need to do a slip stitch into the centre.
To do the final round, we're going to work in single crochet (UK double).
Chain one, and then single crochet (UK double) to the next stitch.
2 single (UK double) crochets into the next 3 stitches.
Single crochet, UK double, into the next 5
Then, we're going to work on the point, single crochet (UK double), double crochet (UK treble)
And single (UK double) crochet.
Single crochet (UK double) into the next 5 stitches.
Two single crochet (UK doubles) into the next 3 stitches.
One single crochet (UK double) into the last stitch.
Finish the round with a slip stitch, and then fasten off
