Let's play Towns 0.30!
I´m Alexander Poysky and I will be translating this let's play into captions for you to better understand how this game works. Keep in mind that the game itself can be played in english, just execute TownsEn
Turning music off as well as sound effects in order to better project his sexy voice!
And here we are, Tows 0.30.
Let's check out the map layout
Here's some iron, a cow, a pig
Gravel
Coal, next to some badgers, a bit far away.
And a large deposit of iron.
Lets tell them to start chopping wood over here, that way they will all start out near the iron deposit.
RASCA = BAM done
There are the civilians (currently 7) looking to chop down the trees.
We currently have two sizes for the tree and are deciding on whether to leave them that big or keep using the smaller ones.
We'll see what happens when all trees are that large, hopefully they won't cover up too much ground!
Going to make a RAW MATERIALS stockpile in a minute.
Individual chopping orders to get things out of the way quickly.
Let's build a carpentry so we can make a ladder.
Let's place a hole right over here by DIGGING
Let's make a ladder/staircase down to the dungeon by using the make object and place button, go to utils and click on ladder.
We're see where the coal deposit is while we wait for the ladder to be made. By using A and Q you can switch between height levels.
Let's give a mining order to clear out the newly accessible area. Orders- Mine
There we go, now get off your lazy butts and start digging!
Let's make a wooden helmet.
You can right click on buildings to go to a quick add item tab, or use the right side of the screen.
Let's slaughter this pig by right clicking on him and selecting kill.
Time to build a masonry as well, it'll help make some future structures and walls.
Ah what the hell, let's make 6 more helmets, that way nobody gets jealous!
Here we will show you the armor sets being implemented, but we are actually just going to make a bunch of wooden helmets for now. Later on you can craft weapons and items to form sets.
We'll do it manually for now by right clicking on the carpentry and clicking on wooden helmet a few times.
Time to tell the resource stockpile to dump mud (we don't have many uses for it currently so it just wastes space.) by right clicking on the stockpile and selecting to not allow mud.
By right clicking on a townsperson, you can EQUIP him with items. The neatest part of this is that you actually SEE his equipment!
Remember that if you have trouble tracking people down or they move around too fast you can hit SPACEBAR to pause, not everyone is as quick as Xavi trapping civilians!
Flasca... super duper made up word meant to sound awesome. I SWEAR that's the dictionary definition for it.... yeah..
Moving on to FARMS,
You must TILL the soil into Homus before building farmland on it. Select order and till.
Making a RAW FOOD stockpile for the piece of pork there, as well as any wheat we may come up with.
This one is for PREPARED food
Building wheatfarm, or building pigfarm. In the current release pigfarms don't do much.
Build a Mill near the farms, as it will crush the wheat into grain for baking.
We are currently testing ANIMATIONS with water and the mill, hopefully we will apply such animations to everything else in the near future.
Building a bakery to take flour from the mill and make it into bread or DELICIOUS apple pies.
Pause in action here in order to get everyone their helmet.Remember kids, hit SPACEBAR!
I think he was praying right there....
UGH, the helmet needs to be organized in our graphics department in order to look like it ISNT floating off the civilians head in some cases, no worries, a quick fix will get that out of the way.
Now that we have stone we can start making ROOMS. Rooms can be build both above and below the Earth.
clearing out an area in order to get more stone.
Time to make some walls in the masonry, you can use the items screen on the right under utils.
By building more you can get more walls made quicker. It's often a better idea to build rooms topside, as later on the monsters in the dungeon may decide to gobble you up in your sleep!
Going to make a few more wheat farms, as we are prepping the town for immigrants!
I have a feeling our studios name is going to RASCA studios... dunno why.
Time to put up some walls, they can be used to make ROOMS or to defend your town from sieges. Yes I said sieges..
This'll make a nice residential zone. time to CLEAR CUT!
What's that miller doing asleep? Get back to work!
Time to make another raw resource stockpile in order to dump all that wood. You could make it only accept wood by right clicking it and taking off the rest of the materials.
I have a feeling Supermalparit is going a bit crazy with his masonrys. He might even be a stonemason himself.. who knows...
That one piece of wood is keeping him from making a wheat farm.
Time to make some walls
Rooms have to have four walls and an entrance, with NO dug out portions (holes in the floor or cieling.) They can be PERSONAL rooms, HOSPITAL rooms, or DINING rooms so far.
Those are some spanish bad words due to them not moving the wood fast enough.
Rooms can share a wall as you can notice.
By holding shift you can HIDE buildings in order to check out whats behind them.
If you want to repeat an order, let's say when mining or building, just hold down shift as you finish it
It works for mining, digging, chopping wood.
Orders, chop, hold shift, select an area
And you can keep doing it over and over again.
Here is the first personal room. I know I know, no cieling. It'll come soon enough TRUST US!
That was the word perfect...
And here are some more rooms. You have to place a bed for them to sleep in personal rooms. place a table and chair in dining rooms, and place beds in the hospital.
Stay tuned for part 2. Alexander Poysky OUT!
