Hello, we are partnership de Wit...
I am Koen and this is my father Tjalling.
This our racing loft. We are racing with 20 couples on total widowhood.
The *** section is at the left, we breed 60 youngsters which are living in the right section.
Behind this loft we have a aviary for our widowhood hens.
Our youngsters also use a part of this aviary during the day.
Our pigeons fly all one day races, from 100 up till 700 kms.
We are racing our pigeons, 20 pairs, on total widowhood.
The hens fly out from their own loft. Sometimes they fly an hour, sometimes half an hour...
and even sometimes only 10 minutes.
They come in at the ***' section...
and in the mean time the *** have been moved to the hens section.
It's simple, but very efficient!
This is the loft of our widowhood hens...
...it's an aviary of 1,20 x 1,50 meters
At the front, the west side, we have windbreak netting
THe westside is not ideal, our pigeons therfor get in shape later in the season
We don't care about that at all, because the nicest races are at the end of the season.
The last 3 years we won the last International one day long distance race...
in the NU twice, and also the 1st NPO....
...with a hen which was raced from this loft.
The hens are behind a rack, because we also have trouble....
with hens which are mating together.
They can eat and fly twice a day and than I close the rack again.
It's a makeshift, but a good one.
This is our blue widowhood hen 1596604...
... it won 25 prizes in the first %!
As a yearling she won a first National...
... she also won a 3rd NPO Signy/Signetz.
In 2011 she was classified for the West European Nations cup...
... in two different classes she eded 4th.
In 2011 she ended 3rd for the West European Nations Cup allround.
In 2012 she was nominated for two classes for the Olympiad...
...allround and short distance.
She was send out for the Netherlands in the category short distance.
This is our Olympiad hen, the NL10-1034286...
... a nice blue hen which is in our breeding loft now.
She classified herself for the Olympiad in Nitra in 2012...
.... and became 3rd for the Netherlands in the allround-class.
In 2012 she ended as 1st Provincial ace pigeon long distance...
... in our Section about 1,700 pigeon fanciers are competing.
She won a first NPO St. Quentin against about 10,000 pigeons...
...she also won a 1st Boxtel against about 5,200 pigeons.
And she won a 1st Pithiviers against about 500 pigeons.
Especially on the one day long distance she was hard to beat.
It is a very nice hen, and a daughter to a brother of our 105....
... which won 6 x 1st in big competition.
The is our breeding hen NL06-1521909...
...it's the mother of our '286'.
She was raced by our clubmate Elzinga...
... and she won two top-10 NPO prizes.
And she became 11th National ace pigeon one day long distance...
....2007-2008-2009 in the 'Eendaagse Fondspiegel'
This is our basic breeder: NL07-1132393.
He became father of our '105' which won 6 x 1st in big competiton.
He became grandfather to among others....
... our 286, Olympiadpigeon in 2012.
